McMurray, PA – Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza

Hey guys and gals!

Cheers to another successful restaurant adventure.

I went on a yucky rainy day and it was so nice to be able to still sit ‘outside’. They have a covered patio, and the best part about it was listening to the rain trickle on the top of the awning. How soothing.

To eat, I ordered the meatball and ricotta appetizer which was good, not amazing but would definitely order it again and again (sorry no photo).

But the pizza is their main dish (obviously). So I ordered a small Pepperoni and Ricotta pizza (in the four years of living in Ohio I had not once found a pizza or italian place that had ricotta on their pizzas or even their calzones!! how lame). But anyways, I ordered the pizza with extra mozzarella and a side of extra ricotta. Personally I very much enjoy to combination of cooked ricotta along side cold ricotta. And here, their ricotta is a basil ricotta…. SO GOOD!!! Their Meatball Ricotta Pizza is also to die for!!

Extra Side of Basil Ricotta (So Delicious!!)

Ooey gooey deliciousness. You can see how they stop the ingredients just shy of the crust leaving a ring of goodness to munch on.

The crust is so good, I stole a quick bite before taking a photo 😉
