Extremely clean bar & food joint in Washington County, PA. Just down the street from the casino and outlets. It’s like, an upscale bar! Super cool.
Drinks came out immediately. The hubbs orderd a ‘paddle’, or a flight as some of us call it, and it comes with 4 draft beers. I ordered a margarita and it was good, but interesting. I swear it had soda in it? But it was super light and refreshing, and tasted like it had no alcohol in it… But a couple minutes later I was feeling it 😉 little tingle in my feet.
Staff very friendly. The hostess was extremely nice, and our waiter was extremely friendly, informative, and engaged in conversation with us! Kudos.
Pepperoni Pizza Log appetizer was an egg roll wrapper filled with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices. Deep fried and served with marinara sauce. Took about 5 minutes to come out!! Seriously, Awesome! Very crunchy. The wrapper makes your brain think you’re about to get an egg roll, and then BAM gooey delicious cheese.
Ordered the Spicey Pig burger…DO IT! So good! The burger meat is their own mix, perfectly cooked (medium rare), topped with their delicious juicy pulled pork. Both full of flavor and incredibly juicy. Could’ve done with a little more pork 😉 but that’s just me being picky (or piggy jk) . Then they add jalapenos, onion straws, and a pickle … Mmmmm their pickles are really good.
We subbed out our side of fries for some chili cheese fries, because we wanted to test the chili. Wow! The chili was chunky, sweet, and filling, coupled with your standard cheese sauce (I don’t even want to know what’s in that stuff lol). And while I don’t think I would like the fries by themselves, they were perfectly sturdy for this application.
We finished our meal off with dessert. Instead of a menu, they bring you a PLATE FULL OF DESSERT! ::drool:: *excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor.
I ordered the Coconut Meringue Pie. And just like my margarita, it was very light in flavor, but also light on the palette (meaning the texture). Super fluffy, with a nice pie crust. A bit flaky, with a good dense feeling, just how a pie crust should taste.
All in all, I give it the CMK stamp of approval. We’ll definitely be returning soon.
WINS: burgers, service, dessert, beer
CONS: the fries, but that’s just me being picky.
